# How to Change Your Name in Zoom

Follow these simple steps to change your display name in Zoom. This guide will walk you through the process step-by-step to ensure your new name is updated successfully.

1. **Open Zoom App or Website** – Launch the **Zoom desktop/mobile app** or go to [zoom.us](https://zoom.us/) and **sign in** to your account.
2. **Go to “Profile” Settings** – On the Zoom website, click **“My Account”** in the top-right corner, then go to the **“Profile”** tab.
3. **Click “Edit” Next to Your Name** – In the Profile section, you’ll see your current name. Click the **“Edit”** button next to it.
4. **Enter New Name** – Type your **First Name** and **Last Name** as you want them to appear in meetings.
5. **Save Changes** – Scroll down and click the **“Save”** button to apply the new name.
6. **Change Name During a Meeting (Optional)** – In an ongoing meeting, click **“Participants” → hover over your name → More → Rename**.
7. **Type the New Name in Popup** – Enter the name you want temporarily for that meeting and click **“Rename.”**
8. **Done!** – Your name will now appear updated in the participant list and on your video tile.
