# How to Close a Form on Google Forms

Follow these steps to close a Google Form and prevent further responses once you’ve gathered enough data.

1. **Open Google Forms** – Go to [Google Forms](https://forms.google.com/) and select your form.
2. **Go to the "Responses" Tab** – Click on the **“Responses”** tab at the top.
3. **Turn Off Response Collection** – Toggle off the **“Accepting responses”** switch to stop collecting new responses.
4. **Customize the Closed Message (Optional)** – Click **“Edit”** below the toggle to enter a custom message for users who try to access the form.
5. **Remove the Shareable Link (Optional)** – Delete or disable access to the form link to prevent further submissions.
6. **Restrict Access via Google Drive (Optional)** – Right-click on the form in Google Drive, select **“Share”**, and adjust permissions to limit access.
7. **Unlink Google Sheets (Optional)** – If linked to a Google Sheet, open it, click **“Form” → “Unlink form”** to stop recording responses.
