# How to Create a Drop-Down List in Google Sheets

Easily organize and manage data within your Google Sheets by creating a drop-down list. This feature allows users to select predefined options, ensuring consistency and reducing input errors.

1. Select the cell or range where you want the drop-down list to appear.
2. Click **Data** in the top menu and choose **Data validation**.
3. Under **Criteria**, select **List of items** and enter the options separated by commas (e.g., Yes, No, Maybe).
4. Alternatively, select **List from a range** to pull the drop-down options from another sheet or column.
5. Check the box for **Show dropdown list in cell** and click **Save** to apply the drop-down.
6. Click the arrow in the cell to test the drop-down and select a value.
