# How to Delete Duplicates in Google Sheets

1. Highlight the data range that may contain duplicates.
2. Click **Data** in the top menu and select **Data cleanup > Remove duplicates**.
3. If your range has headers, check the **Data has header row** box.
4. Click **Remove duplicates**, and Google Sheets will scan for identical rows.
5. A pop-up will show how many duplicates were found and removed.
6. Click **OK** to finalize, and your data will now be free of duplicates.
