# How to Edit Footer in Google Slides

Modify the footer in Google Slides to add or update text, slide numbers, or copyright information. Learn how to access and edit the footer using the master slide.

1. Open your Google Slides presentation.
2. Click on **View** > **Master** (or **Theme Builder** in newer versions).
3. Select the **Master Slide** or a specific **Layout** where the footer appears.
4. Edit the text, font, or style in the footer section.
5. Close the Master view to apply changes to all slides using that layout.
6. If you want a footer on individual slides, manually add a text box at the bottom.
