# How to Hyperlink in Slack

1. In the Slack message input field, type the text that you want to turn into a hyperlink.
2. Highlight the text and click the “Link” icon in the formatting toolbar (it looks like a chain link).
3. Paste or type the URL that you want to link to in the pop-up window and press “Enter” to apply the link.
4. The selected text will now appear as a clickable hyperlink that leads to the URL you specified.
5. Alternatively, you can manually create a link using the format `<URL|Text>` (e.g., `<https://slack.com|Slack Website>`).
