Add a countdown timer in Google Slides for timed activities or presentations. Follow these steps to insert and customize a timer easily.

1. Open your Google Slides presentation and go to the slide where you want to insert a timer.
2. Click on **"Insert"** in the top menu and select **"Video"**.
3. In the **Insert video** window, search for a **YouTube timer** (e.g., "5-minute countdown timer").
4. Select a video from the results and click **"Insert"**.
5. Resize and position the timer video on the slide as needed.
6. Click on the video, then open the **"Format options"** panel from the top menu.
7. Under **"Video playback"**, set it to **"Automatically"** so the timer starts when the slide is shown.
