# How to Remove Header Space in Google Docs

Learn how to effectively minimize or eliminate header space in your Google Docs. Follow these simple steps to adjust document layout and enhance your content presentation.

1. Open your Google Docs document.
2. Double-click the header area at the top of the document.
3. The header section will open for editing.
4. To remove the header space, click and drag the bottom margin of the header upwards to reduce its size.
5. You can also delete the content in the header if it is no longer needed.
6. Once you’re done, click anywhere outside the header area to close it and return to the document body.
