# How to Rename in Zoom

This guide outlines the steps to rename your profile in Zoom. Follow these step-by-step instructions to update your display name.

1. **Join a Zoom meeting** - Enter the meeting where you want to change your displayed name.
2. **Open Participants panel** - Click the "Participants" button in the meeting controls at the bottom of your window.
3. **Find your name** - Locate your name in the participants list that appears on the right side of the screen.
4. **Access rename option** - Hover over your name and click "More" (or "..."), then select "Rename" from the menu that appears.
