# How to Update Figma

This guide will walk you through the steps required to update Figma. Follow these instructions to ensure your Figma application is up-to-date.

1. **Using Figma Web?** – No manual updates needed. Figma on the browser always stays **automatically updated**.
2. **Using Figma Desktop App?** – You’ll need to update it manually if a new version is released.
3. **Check for Updates** – Open the Figma desktop app. On the top menu bar, click on:
   
      - **Help > Check for updates** (Windows)
      - **Figma > Check for updates** (Mac)
4. **Update Notification** – If an update is available, Figma will show a message saying an update is downloading or ready to install.
5. **Download & Install** – Click on **Install Update** when prompted. Figma will close, update itself, and restart automatically.
6. **Reopen the App** – Once the update is complete, reopen the Figma app to start using the latest version.
7. **Verify the Version (Optional)** – Go to:
   
      - **Help > About Figma** (Windows)
      - **Figma > About Figma** (Mac)
      - This will show you the current version number.
8. **Done** – Your Figma is now fully updated and ready to go with the latest features and fixes.
