How to Merge Contacts in
HubSpot
This guide will walk you through the process of merging duplicate contacts in HubSpot. Follow each step carefully to ensure all duplicates are managed effectively.
Log in to HubSpot – Open hubspot.com, sign in to your account, and go to your dashboard.
Go to Contacts – From the top navigation bar, click on “Contacts” and select “Contacts” again from the dropdown.
Search the Contacts – Use the search bar to find the first contact you want to merge.
Open the Primary Contact – Click on the name of the contact you want to keep as the primary (this contact's data will be prioritized).
Click “Actions” – In the top-right corner of the contact profile, click the “Actions” dropdown.
Select “Merge” – Choose “Merge” from the dropdown menu.
Select the Second Contact – Search for the duplicate contact you want to merge into the primary one and select it.
Confirm the Merge – Click “Merge” to finalize. HubSpot will combine the data, timeline, and activity into one contact record.
