This guide will walk you through the steps required to share your computer's audio during a Zoom meeting. Follow these instructions to ensure your participants can hear audio from your computer.

  1. Start or Join a Zoom Meeting – Launch the Zoom app and either start a meeting or join one where you want to share audio.

  2. Click “Share Screen” – At the bottom of the Zoom window, click the green “Share Screen” button.

  3. Choose the Window to Share – Select the window (like Chrome, VLC, or PowerPoint) that contains the media you want to play.

  4. Enable “Share Sound” Option – At the bottom-left of the screen share window, check the box that says “Share Sound.”

  5. Select Stereo (High Fidelity) (Optional) – For better sound quality (like music), click the arrow next to Share Sound and choose “Stereo (High fidelity).”

  6. Click “Share” – Now hit the blue “Share” button to start screen and sound sharing.

  7. Play Audio on Your PC – Whatever sound plays from your computer (YouTube, music, video) will now be heard by all participants.

  8. Stop Sharing When Done – To stop, click the red “Stop Share” button at the top of your Zoom window.
