How to Add an Attachment to
a HubSpot Email
This guide will walk you through the steps to add an attachment to an email within HubSpot, using a sample contact, Maria Johnson. Follow these steps to ensure your attachment is correctly added.
Log in to HubSpot – Go to hubspot.com and sign in to your HubSpot account.
Navigate to Marketing > Email – From the top menu, click “Marketing”, then select “Email”.
Create or Open an Email Draft – Click “Create email” or open an existing email draft where you want to add the attachment.
Choose “Regular” Email Type – For most cases, select “Regular” (non-automated) email to send to a list or individual.
Attach File via Link or CTA (HubSpot Limit) – HubSpot doesn’t allow traditional attachments like Gmail. Instead, upload your file to HubSpot’s File Manager.
Go to File Manager – In the email editor, click the insert link or button, then click “File” to upload a PDF, DOCX, etc.
Select or Upload Your File – Choose an existing file or click “Upload files” to add a new one. Once uploaded, select the file to generate a link.
Insert File Link into Email – Add the file link into your email text or button (e.g., “Download Brochure”), so recipients can click to access it.
