How to Make Someone a
Marketing Contact in HubSpot
This guide provides a step-by-step process to designate a contact as a marketing contact in HubSpot. Follow the steps carefully to ensure the contact is properly marked.
Log in to HubSpot – Go to hubspot.com and sign in to your account dashboard.
Navigate to Contacts – From the top menu, click “Contacts”, then select “Contacts” from the dropdown.
Search the Contact – Use the search bar to find the person you want to mark as a marketing contact.
Open the Contact Record – Click on the contact's name to open their detailed profile page.
Click “Actions” > “Set as Marketing Contact” – At the top-right of the profile, click the “Actions” dropdown and select “Set as marketing contact”.
Confirm Your Selection – A popup will appear. Review the details and click “Update contact status” to confirm.
Update in Bulk (Optional) – For multiple contacts, go to the contacts list, select checkboxes, click “More” > “Set as marketing contacts”.
Done – Contact is Now Marketable – That contact is now marked as a marketing contact, meaning you can include them in email campaigns and automation.
