How to Cancel a Zoom Meeting

Follow these simple steps to cancel an ongoing Zoom meeting. This guide will walk you through the necessary actions to properly end the meeting for all participants.

  1. Log In to Zoom – Open zoom.us in your browser and log in to your account.

  2. Go to Meetings – From the left-hand menu, click on “Meetings” under the “Personal” section.

  3. Find the Meeting – In the “Upcoming” tab, look through the list to find the meeting you want to cancel.

  4. Click on the Meeting Topic – Select the meeting title to open its details.

  5. Click “Delete” – On the bottom-right of the meeting info page, click the “Delete” button.

  6. Confirm Deletion – A pop-up will ask if you’re sure. Click “Yes” or “Delete” to confirm.

  7. Meeting Gets Cancelled – The meeting will be removed from your Zoom list and no longer accessible to participants.

  8. Notify Participants (Manual) – Zoom doesn’t send a cancellation email automatically, so notify invitees via email or calendar update.
