How to Flip Camera on Zoom
Follow these steps to flip your camera during a Zoom meeting. Whether you're using Zoom on your desktop or mobile device, these instructions will guide you through the process.
Open Zoom App – Launch Zoom on your laptop or mobile device and sign in to your account.
Start or Join a Meeting – Either host your own meeting or join an existing one where you want to flip the camera.
Click the Arrow Next to Camera Icon – At the bottom left of the Zoom window, click the arrow (^) next to the “Start/Stop Video” button.
Choose Your Camera – From the list of available cameras, select an alternate camera if you’re using an external webcam that faces another way.
For Built-in Camera Flip (Mobile Only) – On mobile, tap the screen, then tap “Switch Camera” (a flip icon) to toggle between front and back cameras.
Use Mirror My Video (Optional) – Go to Settings > Video, and check or uncheck “Mirror my video” to flip how you see yourself (note: others always see the real orientation).
Confirm the Flip – After switching or mirroring, check the preview to ensure the camera view is now flipped as you want.
Done – You’re now live with the flipped camera — whether it's front to back or mirrored view!
