How to Add Line Numbers in Google Docs

Add line numbers to your Google Docs for better organization and reference in lengthy documents. This feature is particularly useful for academic papers, scripts, or collaborative projects.

1. Open your Google Docs document.

2. Click on the "Format" menu at the top of the page.

3. Hover over "Line numbers" and select "Show line numbers" from the dropdown.

4. Line numbers will now appear in the left margin of your document, starting from 1.

5. You can customize the line numbering style or remove it at any time by following the same steps and selecting "None."
