Most "Guidde vs Scribe" comparisons list features side by side, which hides the actual decision. These tools make different artifacts.

Guidde's artifact is a video. You record a workflow, and Guidde produces a narrated screen-recording walkthrough, adding an AI voiceover and assembling the segments. The result is something you watch.

Scribe's artifact is a document. You perform a process, and Scribe captures each step as a screenshot with text, producing a written guide in seconds. The result is something you read.

Neither is better in the abstract. A support team publishing a help center of written articles wants Scribe. A customer-education team producing onboarding videos wants Guidde. Pick the output your audience actually consumes, and the tool follows.

If the deliverable is a video, Guidde is built for it: automatic capture, an AI-generated voiceover, and assembly into a shareable video. Scribe can share a guide as a video, but video is not its native output and it has no generated narration.

If the deliverable is a written guide, Scribe is built for it: a clean sequence of numbered steps and annotated screenshots, produced instantly, exportable to PDF, HTML, and Markdown. Guidde documents exist, but the product's center of gravity is video.

The honest test: open the last five things your team published for users. If most were videos, Guidde. If most were written how-tos, Scribe.

Scribe is faster to a finished artifact because there is no render step: capture the process and the guide exists. Editing is text and screenshot editing — rewording steps, blurring sensitive data, swapping an image. Redaction is a core Scribe strength, which matters for regulated workflows.

Guidde takes longer because video is heavier to produce, but the AI does the assembly and narration you would otherwise do by hand. Its editing is video editing: trimming, re-recording a segment, regenerating the voiceover.

For a team of five, Scribe Pro Team is the lower outlay: five seats at $17 is $85 a month, against Guidde Business at $59 per creator. So the cheaper option flips with team size, and it is worth doing the arithmetic for your own headcount rather than trusting the headline number. Choose Guidde when:

• your audience watches videos rather than reading guides;

• you want an AI voiceover and automatic video assembly;

• customer education or product marketing is publishing video walkthroughs.

Choose Scribe when:

• the deliverable is a written, step-by-step guide;

• you need PDF, HTML, or Markdown export into a help center or wiki;

• screenshot redaction matters for sensitive or regulated processes;

• you want the guide to exist in seconds with no render step.

If those lists both describe part of your work — some audiences want video, some want written guides, and you are producing both from the same processes — that is the case the next section is about.
