What “verified” means

A summary tells you what a video was about. This tool recovers what was actually done: the exact command typed, the link opened, the menu path clicked. Each artifact is checked against the frames it came from. When the narrator says one thing and the screen shows another, the conflict is listed instead of guessed away. What it does not do: it cannot verify anything that never appeared on screen, and it does not open the recovered links itself.

Does it only work with YouTube?
Yes, public YouTube videos. For a Loom or your own screen recording, use the recording tool instead.
How long does it take?
Usually two to three minutes for a 15-minute tutorial. Longer videos take longer. A video someone traced in the last day comes back instantly.
What does "verified" mean?
The engine reads the screen and listens to the narration separately, then checks them against each other. Commands, links, and UI paths that match what was on screen are marked verified, and places where the narrator said one thing while the screen showed another are flagged as conflicts.
Is my result public?
Yes. Every result has a permanent link on trace.layerpath.com and is not deleted. Only submit videos you're comfortable sharing.
