How to Ungroup in Figma

This guide will walk you through the steps to ungroup elements in Figma. Ungrouping allows you to break apart grouped elements so you can edit them individually. Follow each step carefully to ensure you ungroup elements correctly in your design.

1. Select the Grouped Elements – Click on the grouped objects you want to ungroup.

2. Right-Click on the Group – A context menu will appear.

3. Choose “Ungroup” – Click on Ungroup from the list of options.

4. Use Shortcut – Press Ctrl+Shift+G (or Cmd+Shift+G on Mac) to ungroup quickly.

5. Repeat if Nested – If the group contains nested groups, you may need to repeat the ungroup action.

6. Check Layers Panel – Confirm elements are now listed individually in the left sidebar.

7. Done – You’ve successfully ungrouped elements in Figma.
