How to Export SVG From Figma

This guide provides a step-by-step process to export SVG files from Figma. Follow these steps to efficiently export your design assets.

  1. Open Your Figma File – Launch Figma and open the design file containing the element you want to export.

  2. Select the Element – Click on the shape, icon, text, or frame you want to export as SVG.

  3. Go to the Right Panel – On the right-hand side, scroll down to the Export section.

  4. Click the “+” Icon – Press the “+” button to prepare the element for export.

  5. Choose SVG Format – From the dropdown, select SVG as the export format.

  6. Click “Export [Layer Name]” – Hit the Export button and choose the location to save your SVG file.

  7. Done – Your element is now exported as a clean SVG and saved to your device.
