How to Allow Zoom to
Access Bluetooth

Follow these steps to allow Zoom to access and use Bluetooth devices for audio. This guide will walk you through each step to ensure that your Bluetooth device is properly set up with Zoom.

  1. Open Your Device Settings – Go to Settings on your smartphone (Android or iPhone) where Zoom is installed.

  2. Scroll to Apps or Applications – Find and tap on “Apps” (or “App Management” depending on your phone model).

  3. Search for Zoom – In the list of installed apps, find and tap on Zoom to open its app settings.

  4. Go to Permissions – Tap on “Permissions” to view all hardware and software features Zoom can access.

  5. Check for Nearby Devices (Android) – On Android, Zoom may request Nearby Devices permission to detect Bluetooth devices — make sure it's allowed.

  6. Enable Bluetooth on Your Phone – Swipe down from the top and turn on Bluetooth from the quick settings panel.

  7. Connect Your Bluetooth Device – Pair your Bluetooth headphones, mic, or speaker with your phone via Bluetooth Settings.

  8. Open Zoom and Join Meeting – Now open the Zoom app, join a meeting, and your Bluetooth audio device should be selected automatically. You can switch audio under Audio Settings if needed.
