Open your Google Slides presentation.

Select the text you want to highlight.

Click on the "Text color" (A) icon in the toolbar.

Select the "Highlight color" option.

Choose a color from the available options.

The selected text will now be highlighted.

Adjust or remove the highlight by repeating these steps.
