How to Import Figma File

This guide will walk you through the step-by-step process of importing a Figma file from your computer into Figma. Follow these simple steps to easily transfer your design files.

  1. Go to Figma Dashboard – Open figma.com and log into your account.

  2. Click on “Import File” – On the top-right corner of your Drafts or Project space, click the Import File button.

  3. Choose the File – Select a .fig file from your computer. You can also drag and drop the file directly into Figma.

  4. Wait for Upload – Figma will upload and convert the file. It might take a few seconds depending on file size.

  5. Open the Imported File – Once uploaded, the file will appear in your drafts or selected project. Click to open and start editing.

  6. Done – Your Figma file is now imported and ready to use.
