How to Scroll in Figma

This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to help you understand how to scroll within Figma. Following these steps will ensure you can navigate through your Figma projects efficiently.

  1. Open Your Figma File – Launch Figma and open the design file where you want to scroll.

  2. Use Mouse Scroll Wheel or Trackpad – Scroll vertically with your mouse wheel or swipe up/down on your trackpad. – For horizontal scroll, swipe left/right or use Shift + Scroll.

  3. Use Scrollbars (If Visible) – Hover near the right or bottom edge of the canvas to reveal scrollbars. – Drag them to scroll.

  4. Scroll Inside Frames – Select the frame. – In the right-hand panel, set “Clip content” and “Vertical/Horizontal scrolling” under Prototype settings (if it’s interactive).

  5. Zoom Out to Navigate Faster – Press Ctrl + - (Windows) or Cmd + - (Mac) to zoom out and move around more freely.

  6. Done – You can now smoothly scroll and navigate your Figma workspace! 🎨
