How to Share Music on Zoom
This guide provides a step-by-step process for sharing music during a Zoom meeting. Follow these instructions to ensure that participants can hear your selected audio clearly.
Open Zoom & Start a Meeting – Launch the Zoom app and either start or join a Zoom meeting as a host or co-host.
Click on “Share Screen” – In the bottom toolbar, tap the green “Share Screen” button.
Go to the “Advanced” Tab – In the sharing options window that appears, click on the “Advanced” tab at the top.
Select “Computer Audio” – Choose the “Music or Computer Sound Only” option. This lets Zoom share your system sound without showing your screen.
Click “Share” – After selecting “Computer Audio,” hit the blue “Share” button to start broadcasting your music or sound.
Play the Music – Open any music app (Spotify, YouTube, VLC, etc.) on your computer and play the track you want to share.
Adjust Volume if Needed – Control volume directly from your system or app — Zoom will stream it live to participants.
Stop Sharing Audio – When done, click “Stop Share” at the top of your Zoom window to stop music sharing.
