How to Update Figma
This guide will walk you through the steps required to update Figma. Follow these instructions to ensure your Figma application is up-to-date.
Using Figma Web? – No manual updates needed. Figma on the browser always stays automatically updated.
Using Figma Desktop App? – You’ll need to update it manually if a new version is released.
Check for Updates – Open the Figma desktop app. On the top menu bar, click on:
Help > Check for updates (Windows)
Figma > Check for updates (Mac)
Update Notification – If an update is available, Figma will show a message saying an update is downloading or ready to install.
Download & Install – Click on Install Update when prompted. Figma will close, update itself, and restart automatically.
Reopen the App – Once the update is complete, reopen the Figma app to start using the latest version.
Verify the Version (Optional) – Go to:
Help > About Figma (Windows)
Figma > About Figma (Mac)
This will show you the current version number.
Done – Your Figma is now fully updated and ready to go with the latest features and fixes.
