How to Change Zoom Background

This guide provides a step-by-step process to change your background in Zoom. Follow these steps to customize your virtual meeting space with an image of your choice, such as 'San Francisco.jpg'.

1. Open Zoom App – Launch the Zoom Desktop or Mobile App and sign in to your account.

2. Go to Settings (Before Meeting) – Click the gear icon (⚙️) on the top-right (Desktop) → Go to “Background & Effects” or “Virtual Background”.

3. Or During a Meeting – Click the “^” arrow next to Stop Video → Select “Choose Virtual Background”.

4. Choose a Default Background – Zoom offers pre-loaded options like beach, grass, or blur. Just click to apply.

5. Upload Custom Background – Click the “+” icon to upload your own image or video background (JPG, PNG, MP4 formats).

6. Use “Blur” Option (Optional) – Select “Blur” to keep the focus on you and hide the background without using an image.

7. Enable Green Screen (If Needed) – If you're using a physical green screen, check the box “I have a green screen” for better effect.

8. Done – Your virtual background is now active. It will apply in all future meetings unless changed.
