How to Find Recorded Zoom Meetings

Follow these steps to blur your background during a Zoom call on your laptop. This guide will walk you through accessing and enabling the blur background feature in the Zoom application.

  1. Check your local recordings - Open the Zoom desktop application, click "Meetings" in the top menu, then select the "Recorded" tab to find locally stored recordings.

  2. Navigate to cloud recordings - Sign in to the Zoom web portal at zoom.us, then click "Recordings" in the left navigation menu and select "Cloud Recordings" to view online-stored meetings.

  3. Check your designated storage folder - For local recordings, find files in your computer's default Zoom recording location (typically Documents > Zoom folder) or the custom folder you specified.

  4. Search by date or name - Use the search function in the Zoom web portal to filter recordings by date range, meeting name, or specific keywords.

  5. Check shared recordings - If someone else recorded the meeting, look for shared links in your email, chat history, or shared cloud storage platforms.

  6. Review recording settings - Verify your account settings to confirm where your recordings are being saved (cloud or local) by checking your Zoom web portal settings.

  7. Contact the meeting host - If you can't find a recording, reach out to the meeting host as only hosts and co-hosts with proper permissions can record Zoom meetings.
