How to Share Audio on Zoom
This guide will walk you through the steps to share audio during a Zoom meeting. Follow each step carefully to ensure you can share audio seamlessly.
Start or Join a Zoom Meeting – Open the Zoom app and enter your meeting.
Click on “Share Screen” – Tap the green “Share Screen” button on the bottom toolbar.
Select What You Want to Share – Choose:
Your entire screen, or
A specific window or tab
Enable “Share Sound” Option –
At the bottom-left of the screen share window, check the box that says “Share sound”
On Mac, you might need to give permission first in System Preferences
Choose “Optimize for Video Clip” (Optional) – If you're sharing a video, also tick “Optimize for video clip” for smoother playback.
Click the “Share” Button – Once everything is selected, hit the blue “Share” button.
Audio Will Now Play for Everyone – Any sound from your system (music, video, etc.) will now be heard by all participants.
Done – To stop sharing audio, click “Stop Share” on the top toolbar.
